The Unconditional Love

How do we describe love? Is it by the way someone shows their care and love? The way someone buys extravaganza materials?

As teenagers , all we ever think about when the word LOVE is mentioned is our girlfriends or boyfriends. Immediate reaction is to blush or the image and memories of our partner appears. With no doubt , I will stand firm on that statement. However , have you ever thought if that person means a lifetime to you? Humans come and go. Materials are used and worn out.

There is only one word that describes LOVE for me. My mother. =)

Mothers are the ones that gives breath to every child on earth. Not fathers of course. Mothers are the ones who bares us in her womb and suffers 9 months of ridiculously looking fat and mood swings. She who bares our little kicks in her tummy. She who bares the constant cravings during her pregnancy. She who has to go buy new clothes caused by her over sized tummy.

Love is given willingly. No questions asked. Its someone who gives it to their fullest degree. So why not mothers?

Boyfriends and girlfriends only lasts for a particular period. Husbands and wives are well known for divorces now a days. Only if no misunderstandings happen. But who are we kidding here? We see in our modern days that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is possible. Total drama alert.

I admit. I fell in love and I am in love. Many of us have felt it. But nothing beats the love my mother gives to me. She bares my temper and demands. She bares my laziness and naughty attitude. Yet she has never complained. =)

Have I ever thought of how much she went through to bring me up. Well , not until now. I am just being honest. To think of how she bares with me. Its amazing. Literally. I don't think I'll ever survive in her shoe for even a single minute to bare with a child like me. Like how my sister would put this situation in a sentence. "I'll flush that child down my toilet bowl". I know , it creeps me and my mother out whenever my sister says it. The thought of my future nieces and nephews being flushed down. Eeeee.

My mother is a perfect definition of a mother to me. She is a single mother taking care of three extremely notorious kids. She is fun and hip. She goes online to find out the hottest gossip. I'm dead serious about this. She is a teacher in an International School. She deals with little kids. Which explains how funny my mother and I click instantly. She has short hair and wears specs. I use to have long hair. However , its short now because mum insisted that I'll look different and fresh. I think its probably because she was jealous about my long hair. *giggles* Tho I must thank her cause I do in fact love LOVE my look now. I find it funny when she cooks breakfast for me only when she knows I have something important that day such as exams or competitions. Other that that , she wouldn't prepare anything for me. She'll just chuck a packet of oats for me and off I am to school.

I envy my mother every year when the month of May comes. It happens to be the month where she celebrates mother's day , teachers day and her birthday. However , it practically sums up her whole entire year's fun. Tho she cares less about occasions like this. She is 56 going on 57 tomorrow and still going strong.

I never know what I'll be like without you. I can never live a second without you helping me in every bitter and sweet moments in my 17 years of living. I love you because you are you and you are the greatest mother in my heart. Thank you for everything you made possible in my life. I LOVE YOU!
